The Beacon Center is excited to announce three new senior fellows who will lend their expertise in the areas of economic development reform, tax reform, and criminal justice reform in the state of Tennessee. These three new senior fellows will work to aid the Beacon Center in our efforts and we’re thrilled to have them as part of our team.
Michael LaFaive is the director of fiscal policy for the Mackinac Center for Public Policy where he has worked for nearly 25 years, and will be joining the Beacon Center as the new senior fellow for economic development.
Dr. Ben Stickle is Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice Administration at Middle Tennessee State University and a former police officer. He is a two-time President of the Kentucky Peace Officers’ Association, a council member of the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council, and has worked with juvenile delinquents in the Court Designated Workers Office. Dr. Stickle will be joining as a senior fellow for criminal justice reform.
Scott Drenkard is the director of state projects for the Tax Foundation, the co-author of the annual State Business Tax Climate Index, and the new senior fellow for tax policy.
