Ben is an attorney at the Beacon of Center of Tennessee and litigates cases in state and federal courts to protect private property rights, economic liberty, and other constitutional liberties. Since reading Frédéric Bastiat’s “The Law” in his freshman year of college, Ben has fiercely advocated for individual liberty and free markets.
Before joining Beacon, Ben was an associate attorney at Lund Law, PLLC, a boutique property rights firm in Bozeman, Montana. His practice focused on property rights and other general civil litigation. During this time, he was an affiliate member of the Owners Counsel of America and gave presentations on issues regarding eminent domain and regulatory takings. Before entering private practice, Ben clerked for the Honorable Ashley Harada of Montana’s 13th Judicial District. During law school, Ben clerked for the Pacific Legal Foundation and Institute for Justice.
Ben received his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law and obtained his undergraduate degree in political science and history from Montana State University. When not defending individual rights, Ben enjoys skiing, music, reading, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
