Beacon's death tax efforts noted
Friday’s Nashville Business Journal covers the debate over the economic impact of the state death tax, noting Beacon’s efforts to repeal the tax. Yesterday, the state House of Representatives voted to repeal the tax in a bipartisan 88-8 vote. From the Business Journal:
“Proponents – from free-market group Beacon Center of Tennessee to various business and farm lobbies – say cutting the tax burden on those inheriting companies or other wealth leaves more money for future business investment.”
