Below is a brief statement from Beacon Policy Director Lindsay Boyd. We are proud of the House Health Subcommittee for taking action today to make Tennessee the next Right to Try state. This proposal will give our terminally ill patients hope by making it easier for them to access potentially life-saving medication. The Beacon Center believes that every patient deserves hope and the freedom to make his or her own decisions, and they are currently having that hope and freedom taken away by the FDA’s archaic rules. We look forward to cutting through the red tape and giving hope to our state’s most vulnerable by passing a Right to Try bill.
